OWH Sketch Challenge #114

Hi everybody!!!.  It is Sunday and at OWH it is Sketch Challenge time again.

OK .... I will be perfectly honest and tell you that I am not a huge fan of this sketch. I did, however, manage to put something together that might just work.
Sunshine DAD
I've been wanting to use this SUNSHINE stamp for a while, by trying the Starburst technique. I will call it the "Sunburst" technique for my card. My idea is for it to appear like the  sun rising out of the dark morning sky. Originally the sentiment was going to be on a circle, but I was inspired by today's sketch to use a diamond. I think it works!
Sunshine Sunrise Sunburst
I can almost see this used as a "Spotlight" card for graduation or a recital, play, etc.

Today's OWH Sketch #114

Thank you for stopping by to take a look and leave a kind word!  God bless you!

  1. I thought it was a hard sketch also - stamping on the diagonal is not easy - you did a great job on both cards - and yes I see the spotlight.

  2. I love your sunshine card -- that is a cute idea -- both cards are bright and cheery - both will light up someone's day. Thanks for the sunshine idea.

  3. Two great cards. Nice job on the sunburst technique

  4. I'm sorry to hear you didn't like the sketch! You did manage to create a cute card out of it. Love the mix of papers you used. Thanks for joining us in this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!

  5. I think you sketch card totally rocks. I especially like the Dad down the side!!! I am going to be CASEing that! TFS!!!

  6. This turned out great! The sunburst looks awesome :)

  7. Great interpretation of this week's sketch!
